Teacher gift - FREE reading printables

This week is teacher appreciation week!! Let's thank our teachers! I use to help out once a week in my child's class for an hour and when I came home I needed a nap. Not even kidding. Hats off to these amazing teachers!

I made these little 5x7 quotes for my niece's school classroom. Several people asked if they could print them for gifts for their children's teachers. So here you go!!

The size is 5x7, but it should work for other sizes too. Print this off, put inside a cute frame, and wa-la, all done!

And like always, these are just cutsie ideas. I think the best gift you can give is a hand written card thanking your child's teacher for their time and attention to your child. But hey, cute stuff is fun too.

Are you looking for a Thanksgiving activity? Look no further my friends. A Clothespin Turkey will solve almost any problem. Except cooking that darn turkey, something I have avoided and will continue to avoid until I die. 
Materials: -some cute kids -markers or crayons -scissors -glue stick  -clothespins
-Color your turkey. -You could even write what you are thankful for on the feathers. -Cut turkey, feathers and legs out. -Glue the feathers to the back. -Glue the legs to the clothespin. They do stick, just hold the legs on to the pin for a few extra seconds. 
And wa-la!
And then make your turkey do the turkey trot!

Merry Christmas friends & family!  I drew the following paper puppets for my sister-in-law for Christmas. She is going to laminate them before taping to popsicle sticks so they last a little longer. 
I hope you enjoy these free printables. (Click on image and save to your computer. Make sure to scale to correct size before printing).




And/or you can print them off with no color and have your kids color them. (I'm totally an ink hog, and am very choosy in what I print in color, so I try offer everything in color and black & white). 


Because I have no skills with a sewing machine my mom is helping me make this puppet theater. By helping, I mean I sit next to her and talk her leg off while she sews.

Nativity paper puppets - FREE printables

I'm pretty excited to share this with you!!
I tried last year to make nativity blocks. I didn't like how they turned out. They needed to be a little wider to fill out the space. So this year I sketched several versions and finally made these cute little "round" nativity people. 
I never found the time to put them on blocks, perhaps next year. :)
